  9. Introduction:
  10. -------------
  11.   ModInfo, ModPut and ModServer is three AREXX scripts to use with AmIRC. 
  12. Their purpose is to enhance the IRC experience for Mod freaks. ModInfo 
  13. is a little script for telling everyone what mod you are playing at the 
  14. moment. ModPut is a script for easy transfer of the mod you are playing
  15. at the moment. ModServer is a script for fetching and querying about
  16. modules.

  26.   (Mods Anthology and a CDRom for the neat features)

  40. Installation:
  41. -------------

  43. 1.  Copy the scripts and the names.txt files to the AmIRC rexx directory 
  44.     (preferably). You can keep them elsewhere if you like. 
  45.  
  46. 2.  Edit the authorpath in both ModInfo.amirx and ModServer.amirx to the 
  47.     location you keep the #?names.txt files.
  48.  
  49. 3.  In ModServer.amirx, edit temppath to where you want to keep the lha
  50.      files you're going to send.
  51.  
  52. 4.  In AmIRC, change CTCP request in Setup/Events to: ModServer.amirx %p and
  53.     in Setup/Actions you can have ModInfo and ModPut on one button each and
  54.     the operation /rx ModInfo.amirx and /rx ModPut.amirc on them.

  56. 5.  Finished!!!

  59. Usage:
  60. ------
  61.   When you push the button labeled ModInfo something like this will appear:

  63. «Action» | Shades is playing art of undulation  by: Fash.

  65. That is if you use Delitracker and Mods Anthology. The output when using
  66. Hippoplayer is something like this:

  68. «Action» | Shades is playing art of undulation size: 203K
  69.  
  70. The ModServer will act like a server where people can see what module you
  71. are playing. The command is /ctcp yournick modinfo. The output from that
  72. query will be msg:ed to that person.
  73. They will alse be able to fetch modules, both packed and unpacked. The
  74. command to use is /ctcp yournick getmod and /ctcp yournick getmodunpack.

  79. Hmmm... Well... It seems that modnames with spaces in them will cause 
  80. trouble with the getmod command.
